Graduating top of his class, from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Matthew has been practicing in Bermuda for over a decade.
 

During his time in Scotland Matthew worked in several hospital and clinic settings, working with high-risk diabetic patients and wound care facilities establishing and co-authoring reginal care strategies to improve patient treatments and outcomes.

As part of his commitment to continuing his professional development and increasing his knowledge and skills base, Matthew has recently completed a Masters course in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair at Cardiff University's faculty of medicine.
Building upon Matthews extensive knowledge and experience in wound care management,  in particular his knowledge and skills in relation to the application of evidence-based medicine and the potential enhancement of services and governance frameworks, having published several research paper on Bermuda's healthcare system and health cost saving systems. Matthews goal is to help further enhance the wound care facilities and standards of treatments that are available to patients in Bermuda.

​Outside of Podiatry, Matthew is Bermuda's most highly awarded mixologist and former co-owner of The Blind Pig Cocktail Co. He is also involved in Moongate Brewing Co. in St Georges
